HIFU with microbubbles treatments permeabilize the BBB for topotecan and significantly increase the loco-regional accumulation of topotecan in the brain. Images were quantified (n = 4) and demonstrated a significant increase in [11C] topotecan brain uptake after HIFU. (b) Immediately after PET imaging, the brains of all mice were dissected, imaged, and quantified with PET to confirm in vivo PET signal.
