Peptidyl inhibition of NADPH oxidase-2 (Nox2) by gp91ds-tat reduces membrane-positive staining of Nox2 subunit p67phox. (A) p67 blot immunofluorescence during hindlimb unloading in soleus muscle, with dystrophin as a membrane marker. (B) Positive staining for p67phox was quantified with one-way ANOVAs run to determine mean differences in positive staining. Fischer-344 rats were divided into the following groups (n = 6/group): ambulatory controls (CON), hindlimb unloaded + scrambled peptide (HU), and HU + gp91ds-tat (HUG).
