KIF5B and CYP24A1 are overexpressed in CRC and negatively correlate with the expression of miR-1278. (A,B) The expression of KIF5B and CYP24A1 was measured in datasets of the TCGA COAD (colon adenocarcinoma) program. KIF5B and CYP24A1 were significantly upregulated in tumor samples compared to normal tissues. (C) The protein expression of KIF5B and CYP24A1 was determined by Western blotting in 42 pairs of CRC samples. (D) Compared to peritumoral tissues, KIF5B was significantly upregulated in cancer tissues. (E) Compared to peritumoral tissues, CYP24A1 was significantly upregulated in cancer tissues.
