Effect of quercetin, naringenin and naringin on tumor volumes and aromatase levels in solid tumors. (A) Effect of flavonoids on tumor volumes (means ± S.E.) of Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma (EAC)-bearing mice. Treatment was started 5 days after inoculation of EAC cells. Tumor volumes were measured at 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, and 19 days after starting treatment. (B) Effect of flavonoids on aromatase levels (means ± S.E.) in solid tumors of EAC-bearing mice determined using ELISA. Data were analyzed using One Way ANOVA followed by Tukey–Kramer post hoc test (n = 10). ***Significant at p < 0.0001 compared to control, ^#Significant at p < 0.05 compared to quercetin, and ^##Significant at p < 0.01 compared to quercetin.
