Labeling of Pseudouridine (Ψ) by carbodiimide CMCT (N-cyclohexyl-N′-β-(4-methylmorpholinium) ethylcarbodiimide p-tosylate) reagent. CMCT forms bulky derivatives which upon alkaline hydrolysis give rise to a single derivative exhibiting distinct RT signature. Using this chemistry, Ψ can be identified by sequencing and LC–MS.
