(a) Brn3cCre/WT; Brn3bCKOAP/WT alkaline phosphatase (AP) staining reveals a region of increased RGC density in a dorsoventral wedge on the flat-mounted mouse retina. (b) CAG:Dre; ROSA26AP/WT; Brn3cCKOCre/WT AP staining shows relatively even RGC coverage. Three retinas are shown for each genotype. A total of 9 Brn3cCre/WT; Brn3bCKOAP/WT and more than 10 CAG:Dre; ROSA26AP/WT; Brn3cCKOCre/WT retinas were stained. Compass indicates dorsal, nasal, ventral, and temporal retinal directions.
