Bias is calculated as fold change ratio between the mean number of SNPs per individual per gene for males and females. Specifically, this was calculated for each gene as log2((mean male SNPs + 1)/(mean female SNPs + 1)). The ones were added to remove undefined results caused by dividing by the number 0.
