Figure 6.

Figure 6 is an illustration depicting the effects of epidermal growth factor treatment and polychlorinated biphenyl exposure in a dietary-exposure mouse model of steatohepatitis. In the illustration, the liver is exposed to polychlorinated biphenyls with high fat diet with stimulated Steatosis, arrow pointing up Steatohepatitis, and arrow pointing up Pericellular Fibrosis. Infused with epidermal growth factor, Steatosis, arrow pointing down free fatty acids, arrow pointing up insulin resistance, arrow pointing up dyslipidemia, arrow pointing down steatohepatitis, and arrow pointing down pericellular fibrosis symptoms is observed in the liver.

Effect of EGF treatment and PCB exposure in a dietary-exposure mouse model of steatohepatitis: graphical abstract illustrating EGF therapy reducing hepatic inflammation and pericellular fibrosis induced by Aroclor 1260 but only modifying metabolic effects on lipid homeostasis in mice fed an HFD. Note: EGF, epidermal growth factor; HFD, high-fat diet; PCB, polychlorinated biphenyl.
