TABLE 2. Algorithm II: Valid Frames to Measure Dimensions.

Step Methodology
1 Calculate Inline graphic for a leg point cloud (Inline graphic), using Algorithm I (Table 1).
2 For every point (Inline graphic) in Inline graphic, a corresponding point (Inline graphic) in the point cloud Inline graphic is calculated using Inline graphic
3 A box with centroid at the origin, height (Inline graphic) in the z-axis, width (Inline graphic) in the y-axis, and length (Inline graphic) in the x-axis bounds the Inline graphic.
4 Divide this box into 12 horizontal slices along the z-axis, starting from the bottom, with 25 mm height, length (Inline graphic), and width (Inline graphic).
5 For each slice, calculate minimum (Inline graphic) and maximum (Inline graphic) for each Inline graphic dimension using points inside the slice. Calculate the slice volume as Inline graphic.
6 A leg point cloud is considered valid for calculating dimensions if the maximum Inline graphic was one of the bottom two slices and value greater than 80 percent of Inline graphic.
