Figure 1. Associations between perspective taking and empathy with burnout. Post-hoc analysis showed association of perspective taking with lower depression (β = -0.298, p < 0.001), anxiety (β = -0.313, p < 0.001), anger (β = -0.415, p < 0.001) and burnout (β = -0.267, p = 0.005). Empathy was associated with higher levels of depression (β = 0.33, p = 0.016), anxiety (β = 0.514, p = 0.001), anger (β = 0.373, p = 0.008) and burnout (β = 0.578, p = 0.006).
