Screening of LAB for their extracellular production of NMN or NR with NR-auxotrophic yeast. LAB cells from their colonies were inoculated onto YPD plates spread with NR-auxotrophic yeast (1.0 × 10⁶ cells) and cultivated at 30 °C for several days. If the LAB produce NMN or NR outside of the cells, a halo of NR-auxotrophic yeast should be observed around the colony of the LAB as shown in the photos (A: RD011727; B: RD012353; C: RD012354).
