Summary statistics are given as mean (standard deviation), except for CRP and Alcohol, which are reported as median (interquartile range). The clustering sample consisted of 3726 individuals with grade 2 hypertension from FINRISK 1997 (N = 1098), 2002 (N = 1385), and 2007 (N = 1243) cohorts.
