Standard conditions: 0.17 mmol 1, 2 equiv of alkyl bromide, 2 mol % lr[dF(CF₃)ppy]₂(dtbbpy)PF₆, 10 mol % [Ni(dtbbpy)(H₂O)₄]CI₂, 1 equiv of (TMS)₃SiOH, 3 equiv of Na₂CO₃, DMF (0.10 M).

Isolated yields.

For alkyl bromides with the potential to form new diastereomers after coupling, one major diastereomer was isolated, sometimes containing a small amount of the minor diastereomer.
