The results are shown as medians and interquartile ranges [Q1–Q3] for continuous variables or numbers and percentage for categorical variables. COVID-19 patients with ARDS were separated in two groups based on status at D28 after admission. Sepsis-related organ failure assessment (SOFA) and simplified acute physiology score II (SAPS II) scores were calculated during the first 24 h after admission.
