Impact of InR hemizygosity upon adult survival. (A) Trial 1. Two hemizygotes (InR^null(HR)/InR^+(HR) and InR ^null(HR)/InR⁺^Dah) compared to four wild-type (generated from reciprocal, pairwise combinations of InR ^+(HR) and InR ^+Dah alleles). Hemizygotes are 2 days longer lived, arising from lower proportional hazard mortality (β = −0.14, χ² = 36.4, P < 0.0001). (B) Trial 2.
