Pre-treatment with the CGRP receptor antagonist BIBN4906 (BIBN; 1 mg/kg) or NK1R antagonist SR140333 (SR; 1 mg/kg) significantly decreased tissue edema induced by GSK1016790A (100 µg/kg) compared to vehicle treatment in the airways and upper GI tract.
