The data were calculated from data for 0 (0DAT), 4 (4DAT), and 8 (8DAT) days. Treatment: control + water, control + 1 μM melatonin, 150 mM salt pre-treatment + water, 150 mM salt pre-treatment + 1 μM melatonin. Values indicate the means ± SE (n = 3). Letters represent significant differences at p < 0.05 in accordance with Duncan’s multiple range tests.
