Overview of the reinforcement learning task. Each trial began with one of two trial types (gold or silver). First stage selections, which cost 5 points, could lead to a common (70%) or rare (30%) second stage state, which had a distinct probability of reward that slowed changed based on random Gaussian walks across trials.
