Knockdown of glycine decarboxylase induces a shift of cellular function from proliferation to migration in A549 cells. A549 cells were transfected with either the scrambled (siControl) or glycine decarboxylase‑specific siRNA oligos for 2 days. (a) The levels of glycine decarboxylase and GAPDH proteins were measured using Western blotting. (b) The number of migratory cells was measured using Boyden chamber assay. **P < 0.01 (t‑test).
