Circ_0006168 acts as miR-516b-5p sponge to up-regulate XBP1 in ESCC cells. (A) The overexpression efficiency of circ_0006168 overexpression plasmid was assessed by RT-qPCR. (B) The relative level of miR-516b-5p was measured in ESCC cells transfected with si-NC, si-circ_0006168, vector or circ_0006168 by RT-qPCR. (C) The knockdown efficiency of miR-516b-5p inhibitor (inhibitor-miR-516b-5p) in ESCC cells was assessed by RT-qPCR. (D) Western blot assay was applied to determine the expression of XBP1 in ESCC cells transfected with miR-NC, miR-516b-5p, inhibitor NC or inhibitor-miR-516b-5p. (E) Eca109 and KYSE150 cells were transfected with si-circ_0006168 alone or together with inhibitor-miR-516b-5p, and the protein level of XBP1 was examined by Western blot assay.
