(A) Chronogram of 24-hour BP measurements; (B) average 24-hour, daytime and night-time BP and heart rate; (C) transthoracic echocardiography, parasternal long-axis view showing normal left ventricular (LV) mass and relative wall thickness, and hence normal LV geometry. LV relative wall thickness is calculated as: (2 × posterior wall thickness)/(LV internal diameter at end-diastole). LV relative wall thickness is normal if ≤0.42 and increased if >0.42. Normal LV mass is ≤115 g/m2 in men and ≤95 g/m2 in women.
