Functional recapitulation of human lacrimal gland (LG) organoids. To confirm the secretory function of the organoid, A Ca2+ uptake (Magnification; 10×, Scale bar; 100 µm) and B released β-hexosaminidase was detected after 1 μg/mL pilocarpine treatment, and C the secretome released from the organoid was observed via TEM. Proteins secreted by pilocarpine were identified using proteomic analysis. Through the D heatmap, E Venn diagram, F gene ontology (GO) term analysis, and identification of the differentially expressed proteins (DEPs), the proteins were seen to be more secreted from pilocarpine-treated organoids than from the normal organoids, and most proteins belonged to exosome/vehicle
