Survivorship was lower among mussels collected at Reed Point. Survival also decreased at higher stable temperatures. Survival of Reed Point mussels under variable conditions was higher than predicted from survivorship at stable conditions. Predicted values shown for variable conditions are bootstrapped estimates based upon survival rates at stable temperatures. All values shown are means ± s.e. except for predicted values, which are means ± s.d., as is standard for bootstrapped values.
