Bone morphogenetic protein‐7 (BMP‐7) treatment improves diabetes‐induced muscle dysfunction. BMP‐7 treatment improves muscle function under hyperglycaemic conditions. To evaluate this on Day 42 after streptozotocin (STZ) administration, animals were subjected to different muscle function tests. Bar graphs represent the quantification and analysis for four‐limb grip strength [A: Male mice (n = 6–7); B: Female mice (n = 6–7); C: Both male and female mice (n = 14–15)], rotarod performance test [D: Male mice (n = 5–6); E: Female mice (n = 5–7); F: Both male and female mice (n = 12–13)], and weights test‐TT method [G: Male mice (n = 5); H: Female mice (n = 6); I: Both male and female mice (n = 11–15)]. Error bars = mean ± standard error of the mean. One‐way ANOVA and Tukey tests were performed to assess statistical significance. *P < 0.05 and ***P < 0.001 vs. control, #P < 0.05 and ###P < 0.001 vs. STZ.
