Effect of the FcHEx on the epidermal lipid content in the skin keratinocytes. The HaCaT cells were treated with the FcHEx or the positive control for 24 h, then incubated with epinephrine 10 µM for an additional 24 h. The lipid content was measured using an Adipored assay. The values were normalized relative to the cell density determined using crystal violet staining. The reported values represent the averages of three independent experiments and are expressed as the percentages of cells treated with epinephrine only, which was set to 100%.
