Figure 9

Inhibition of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) phosphorylation by alpinumisoflavone (AIF) in tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)-treated human dermal fibroblasts (HDFs). (A) Expression of p-extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), ERK, p- c-Jun N-terminal kinases (JNK), JNK, p-p38, p38, and glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) proteins. (B) Relative expression levels of p-ERK/ERK, p-JNK/JNK, p-p38/p38 proteins. HDFs were challenged with 20 ng/mL TNF-α in the presence or absence of AIF (25 and 50 µM) for 15 min. The protein expression was determined using Western blot analysis. The data are presented as mean ± SEM of at least three independent experiments. ## p < 0.01 and ### p < 0.001 as compared to untreated cells. * p < 0.05, ** p < 0.01 and *** p < 0.001 as compared to TNF-α-treated cells.
