KLF4 decreases ROS from glucose starvation. (A) Fluorescent imaging for ROS used 2′,7′-dichlorodihydrofluorescein diacetate (H2DCF-DA) (green) in MEFs. DAPI (blue) was used to stain cell nuclei. (B) KLF4 reduces ROS, especially during starvation where ROS are increased significantly. Each treatment condition was repeated with three biological replicates. Error bars represent standard error of the mean. Significance was determined using Student’s t-test (* p < 0.05, ** p < 0.01, *** p < 0.001).
