A possible schema of apoptotic mechanism in glioma cells elicited by gefitinib is proposed. The schematic diagram indicates the cellular molecules, signaling molecules, and cascades used in mediating the induction of ER stress/Unfolded Protein Response (UPR) and the consequences of apoptosis after gefitinib treatment in glioma cells.
