GEM resistance in bladder cancer cell lines. Sensitivity to GEM was represented as the in vitro drug concentration that inhibited cell growth by 50% (IC₅₀). 4000 cancer cells were seeded in a 96-well culture plate 24 h before assay. Cells were treated with GEM at different concentrations and cell viability evaluated by MTT assay, 72 h later. IC₅₀ values were calculated using the formula described by Beck et al. [18].
