Figure 2

Effect of the non-hydrolyzable mimetic of thromboxane A2 (TXA2), U-46619 (1 nM), on the concentration–response curves to (A) acetylcholine (ACh), (B) sodium nitroprusside (SNP), (C) carbon monoxide-releasing molecule (CORM), and (D) noradrenaline (NA) in aortic segments of male rats. Results (mean ± SEM) are represented for the vasodilatory responses as percentage of the inhibition of the contraction elicited by 0.1 μM of noradrenaline; for the NA-induced vasoconstriction, the response was represented as percentage of the previous contraction induced by KCl (75 mM). Number of animals: 4–5. The statistical significance is indicated in the corresponding graphs.
