Shaded in red are the Sandhills in Nebraska, where grass and root zone soil were collected in 2016 and 2017 for the present study. Rhizoctonia spp. were isolated from samples collected from 11 sites in Brown, Grant, Hooker, Logan, and Rock Counties of total eight counties. These sites were selected because they had never been cultivated but may have been grazed. Numbers in each county indicate the isolates/field-years.
