Short-term acclimation of Δ to CO₂ in N. salina. Cells were initially grown in for 6–8 days at either high or low CO₂. Cells cultured in high CO₂ had higher flow rates of media supplied relative to those in low CO₂ to account for their higher growth rate such that cell density would remain constant across the CO₂ switch. Immediately after measurement at T = 0, the CO₂ concentration and media flow rates were switched in parallel. Error bars represent the SE of the mean, n = 3
