Evaluation of oxidative stress and interstitial fibrosis in STZ-induced diabetic mice. Urinary 8-OHdG levels were detected in the diabetic mice (a). Interstitial fibrosis was detected by Azan staining (b) and Sirus red staining (d), and the fibrotic areas were quantified (c,e). The amount of hydroxyproline in the mice kidneys was measured (f). Interstitial F4/80-positive cells were detected by immunohistochemistry (g) and their positive area was evaluated (h).
