Turnover number values obtained for CoPPIX and cobalt cyt b ₅₆₂ mutants under irradiation with light for 8 h in 100 mM ascorbic acid, 1 mM [Ru(bpy)₃]²⁺, and 200 mM potassium phosphate. The bars represent the TON of each catalyst at pH 6.0 in absence (H₂: gray) and presence of CO₂ (H₂: dark blue, CO: red, HCO₂ ⁻: dark green); and in the presence of CO₂ at pH 7 (H₂: light blue, CO: orange, HCO₂ ⁻: light green). The experiments were run on triplicate and error bars represent the standard deviation of the sample.
