The composition of both the vitamin and the mineral mixtures is according to the recommendations of the American Institute of Nutrition 1993 (66), except that calcium was omitted. In addition, tripotassium citrate was added instead of KH2PO4 and choline chloride was added instead of choline tartrate.
To acquire 40 g inulin/kg, the amount of inulin was increased since Orafti GR inulin contains approximately 10% glucose, fructose, and sucrose.
