In anti-HTLV-1 antibody (Ab) assay in CSF, PA-positive or PA-negative results were regarded as true-positive or true-negative results, respectively. HC-CSF+, HC with PA-positive CSF; HC-CSF−, HC with PA-negative CSF.
All CSF samples from NCs (n = 18) were negative in all assays.
The total number represents the sum of the numbers of PA-positive and PA-negative samples in the same row.
The total number represents the sum of the numbers of PA-positive and PA-negative samples in the same column.
