The infection of PEDV is dependent on early and late endosomes. (A, B) Fluorescence images of the infection of DiD-labeled PEDVs in cells expressing Rab5 CA-mCherry or Rab5 DN-mCherry. After 24 h of transfection, cells were infected with DiD-labeled PEDVs (MOI, 10) for 30 min, and then samples were fixed and imaged. (C, D) Fluorescence images of the infection of DiD-labeled PEDVs in cells expressing Rab7 CA-mCherry or Rab7 DN-mCherry. After 24 h of transfection, cells were infected with DiD-labeled PEDVs (MOI, 10) for 30 min, and then samples were fixed and imaged. (E, F) Cells were transfected with plasmid Rab5 DN-mCherry or Rab7 DN-mCherry. After 24 h of transfection, cells were infected with PEDVs (MOI, 1) and cultured for 6 h.
