220 patients older than 18 years undergoing major obstetric‐gynecological surgeries (e.g. total abdominal hysterectomy, total vaginal hysterectomy, cesarean section, cesarean hysterectomy with or without colporrhaphy) with risk factors for VTE (prolonged immobility, obesity or previous history of VTE). |

LHMW types: PDxane versus Clexane. |

DVT, PE, bleeding, adverse effects (including injection site reactions, confusion, and hematuria). |
