Alternative model for continuous validation of EIAS. We propose annual control for accuracy of the EIAS data. For Accuracy and Missing Values, the EIAS system itself can perform the checking annually and/or on demand: Accuracy: EIAS will automatically check for any deviation from average values in the EIAS system, and if outliers are outside the 95% percentile in any of the eleven accuracy variables a red warning flag will be raised. Missing Values: If more than 5% in any of the eleven variables are missing another red flag will be raised. Coverage: To signal and prevent non-participation, 20% of centers connected to EIAS will randomly be checked for coverage (by comparing data in EIAS and local operation planning systems). Low coverage < 90% or more than 4 red flags will result in a full validation according to the current study.
