Study name The effect of Kegel exercises for prevention and treatment of constipation and flatulence in antenatal and postnatal
Methods Randomised controlled trial
Participants Pregnant mothers, healthy. Minimum age 18 years old
Interventions Experimental group: Kegel exercises on daily basis, 3 times a day, for 15 to 20 minutes, for 8 consecutive weeks, in addition to routine care
Control group: conventional standard methods for improving constipation, such as increased fluid and fibre intake (celluloid material, such as wheat and whole wheat, wheat bran, vegetables, and fruits)
Outcomes Constipation score; bloating score
