| Interventions | Intervention: early full enteral feeds: feeds commence at ≥ 80% of reference daily fluid intake from day 1 Control: enteral feeds commence at 15–30 mL/kg on day 1, then advanced by 15–30 mL/kg per day on second day onwards until infant reaches full enteral feeds |
