Surgical procedure of laparoscopic open total cystectomy for liver hydatid cyst (HC) in the caudate lobe. A, Exposure the liver HC in caudate lobe clearly. B, Protect abdominal cavity away from contamination by spillage of viable protoscoleces. Surrounding area were packed with hypertonic saline-soaked gauze. C, Decompression was performed by opening the HC using laparoscopic rotary cutter and aspirator. D, Suture the opened incision on the surface HC completely.
