Higher scores on ideology reflected increased liberalism (vs. conservatism). Higher Ingroup Preference Scores indicated more investment in the moral foundation when it was framed about the ingroup. A negative regression coefficient between Preference Score and Political Ideology indicated that conservatives showed more endorsement of the moral foundation when it was framed about the ingroup as opposed to the outgroup. Bootstrapping analyses were conducted to 5,000 samples. ***p < 0.001.
