As Croatia was not part of the EU in 2010–2011, the data for transplantations performed in Croatia were added to the data for the 27 EU member states for those years. The absolute total number of transplantations for each year is provided. The corresponding number per million population increased from 59 (2010) to 67 (2019). The EU Action Plan on Organ Donation and Transplantation was operational between 2009 and 2015. The marked rise in yearly transplantation rate observed particularly in the last years of the EU Action Plan on Organ Donation and Transplantation (2012–2015) seems to have levelled off in the years 2016–2019. Data were calculated based on data from the Transplant Newsletter¹³⁵.
