Significant differences between the pain improvement mean values of the anodal and sham stimulation conditions were found in patients 1 and 2, with superior improvements after anodal stimulation (p < 0.001 and p = 0.001, respectively). The differences between the mean values of the anodal and sham conditions in patient 3 were not significant, although there was a trend toward significance (p = 0.08).
