OGD/R treatment increased methylation of the miR-532-5p promoter. (A, B) Methylation-specific PCR (MSP) results show the methylation status of the CpG islands in the miR-532-5p promoter sequence in SH-SY5Y cells treated with OGD/R, 5-Aza or OGD/R + 5-Aza and untreated controls. ‘U’ refers to PCR with primers specific to unmethylated sequence and ‘M’ refers to PCR with primers specific to methylated sequence.
