Adult stem cells and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells could both be considered cultured meat sources. Myogenic satellite cells and adipose stem cells are proliferated through in vitro culturing and manufactured to resemble meat structure. iPS cells could differentiate into several different cell types comprising muscle tissue that could be used, along with multiple other cell types, to manufacture three-dimensional (3D) structures using tissue engineering or bioprinting technologies.
