In control group, the glomerular podocytes were arranged in a uniform and orderly manner, and the thickness of basement membrane was uniform and consistent. By contrast, the podocyte of glomerulus was widened, fused into plate, and the basement membrane was thickened locally in the model group. The ultrastructure was repaired by the treatment with high, middle, and low doses of Shensu IV. The arrows show the glomerular basement membrane.
