Genotyping was conducted by DArTseq and 628 high quality markers were clustered into nine linkage groups and optimally ordered using the MSTMap algorithm available in the ASMap package. Each linkage group has a corresponding chromosome number derived from anchoring the genetic map to the chickpea Kabuli reference assembly v.1. Length of each linkage group, average and maximum spacing between markers are indicated using centimorgan (cM) units. A visual illustration of the map can be found in Supplementary Figure 6.
