The stability of carboxitin (10 μM) was measured over a period of 48 h at 4°C, 25°C or 37°C in (A) 0.1% formic acid; (B) 100 mM phosphate buffer, pH 5; (C) 100 mM phosphate buffer, pH 7; and (D) 100 mM phosphate buffer, pH 9. (E) For identification of degradation products, sample aliquots from the incubation mixture at 37°C containing carboxitin (10 μM) in (F) 100 mM phosphate buffer, pH 7 or (G) 100 mM phosphate buffer, pH 9 were analyzed using UPLC-MS2.
